What a marvelous promise and image: to be children of God, brothers and sisters of Christ! We at Barnesville First United Methodist Church are members of that family of God, a family with a heritage that goes back to Christ and makes us heirs of the riches of God! We also have a lovely and proud heritage that can be traced back through the line of the dedicated founders who established the Methodist church at Barnesville over 175 years ago, and the generations who faithfully followed Christ and built up the church family spiritually and physically. We today are beneficiaries of their commitment and vision. That legacy is the foundation on which we build and expand, envision and dream.
